bluemedia Among “Best Places to Work,” Others Disappear

bodyimage.jpg

BestCompaniesAZ’s annual Best Places to Work came out today and bluemedia was the only Valley marketing firm to make this year’s list. (Congrats guys!)

This is a little surprising since several firms made the list last year. Moses Anshell was even named the Valley’s top Small Business. Off Madison Ave scored high and proudly lists the logo on their website. McMurry won in 2003 and ranked high in ‘06. Lavidge seems to be having a great year. Riester?

So where are these firms this year? Where are the other rising stars? Knowing people at all the above firms, I know they’re no less great to work at and for.

So…. Was it too much work to participate for too little ROI? Is it enough just to win once and brag forever? Was there such a shortage of talent that this award no longer merits as a marketing device? Were efforts put instead toward other popularity awards such as Ranking Arizona? Was it the thought and expense of sitting through yet another ”you’re a finalist so buy a table” chicken puck lunch?

Or did everyone simply tie for 31st this year?
