<p>The OAAA/TAB Out of Home Media  Conference &amp; Marketing Expo was held at the JW Marriot Desert  Ridge from May 2<sup>nd</sup> to May 4<sup>th </sup>and bluemedia was there in  full force.  bluemedia was a major sponsor of the conference, branded all the  hotel keycards for attendees and even rolled out the blue carpet for a VIP party  at Blue Martini.</p>

<p>The mood at the conference was very  optimistic and the light at the end of the tunnel appears to be shining brighter  and brighter for the advertising community.  There was a definite sense of  collaboration and momentum throughout the weekend.</p>
<p>The event was a huge success and  reinforced bluemedia’s commitment to the outdoor market, quality service and of  course a good time.</p>

<p>WrestleMania XXVI was the twenty-sixth annual WrestleMania  professional wrestling pay-per-view  (PPV) event produced by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), which took place on March 28, 2010 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale, Arizona. The event was the first WrestleMania to be held in the state of Arizona and the third to be held in an open-air venue.</p>

<p>WrestleMania XXVI was a joint-promotion event, featuring performers both from the Raw and SmackDown brands. Ten matches were featured on the event&#8217;s card, which featured a supercard, a scheduling of more than one main bout. The first of these matches was a no disqualification, no count-out match that featured The Undertaker defeating Shawn Michaels to improve his undefeated WrestleMania streak to 18-0. Per the pre-match stipulation, Michaels was forced to retire. The second was a singles match for the WWE Championship that saw John Cena defeat the champion, Batista to win the championship. The third was a singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship featured the champion, Chris Jericho, defeating Edge to retain the title. Featured matches on the undercard included a 10-Diva tag team match, Bret Hart versus Vince McMahon in a No Holds Barred match, Rey Mysterio versus CM Punk, Triple H versus Sheamus, the sixth annual Money in the Bank ladder match, Randy Orton versus Ted DiBiase versus Cody Rhodes in a Triple Threat match and a Unified WWE Tag Team Championship match between the champion team, The Big Show and The Miz, against the team of John Morrison and R-Truth.</p>

<p>Sony, recognizing that (much like wine or sushi) some things are just  better at their point of origin, makes a point about locale with the  project. Hanging the jeans on the building where the fabric originates  emphasizes the repurposing concept, reinforcing the roots of the brand&#8217;s  idea.</p>

<p>Each of the 120 handmade completely unique pairs sells directly from the  wall. Passersby and potential customers peer at the jeans through  supplied binoculars and once selected, someone rappels down the side of  the building to remove the pair of colorful pants.</p>

<p>The project not only cleverly experiments with recycling, but all of the  money from the sales supports World Heritage sites.</p>

<p>The time is yet again among us&#8230;. grab your cheese heads, your face paint, a 24pk of <a href="http://www.budweiser.com" target="_blank">Budweiser</a>, and your portable grill because <a href="http://blogs.nfl.com/category/news/" target="_blank">football</a> is here baby!! Who would have known&#8230;. with all the chatter of fantasy lineups, player suspensions, injuries, and video game releases along with the overall &#8220;glow&#8221; of the guys at work. The 2009 regular season kicks off Thur. September 10th with the reigning champs the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pittsburgh_Steelers" target="_blank">Pittsburgh Steelers</a> taking on the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tennessee_Titans" target="_blank">Tennessee Titans</a> at Heinz field.</p>
<p>Rewind to 7/2 when our VP of Sales RJ Orr walks into the design room with the big grin on his face letting us know that we have just secured a new project to print the entire launch party for the <a href="http://insideblog.easports.com/" target="_blank">EA Sports Madden 10</a> video game release! Now if there are 2 things that the blue crew loves, it&#8217;s <a href="http://www.easports.com/" target="_blank">VIDEO GAMES</a> and <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s-eqqLT4sKg&amp;feature=channel_page" target="_blank">FOOTBALL</a>!. The icing on the cake was our hometown hero <a href="http://www.nfl.com/players/larryfitzgerald/profile?id=FIT437493" target="_blank">Larry Fitzgerald</a> on the front of the game box (with some other guy we don&#8217;t mention).</p>

<p>Once the excitement settled we realized that we only had 2 weeks to produce 10,710 sq/ft of fence mesh, 111 double sided 8&#8242; bike barrier covers, multiple misc. signs, decals, and a video board banner!! Were we nervous?? Absolutely not, this is what we do at <a href="http://www.bluemedia.com" target="_blank">bluemedia</a>. We gladly accepted the challenge and eagerly anticipated what the final product would look like at its final destination.</p>
<p>After a few days of setting up files and <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gAZt9FsZ7g" target="_blank">printing banners</a>, everything was loaded into a box truck and RJ and Tug Orr hit the road for Malibu. They arrived in Malibu on Tues. the 21st at night and headed straight for the venue to unload the material and get a lay of the land. Everything was up and ready to be wrapped with vinyl so the guys headed to the hotel in Santa Monica to get some rest. The next day RJ and Tug arrived at the cliffs of Malibu with four other helpers to tackle the full day installation of  banners and signs.</p>
<p>It took the crew a full 13hrs to transform the event from a grass field to a vibrant stadium of larger than life <a href="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2428/3818792731_9ee5d34db2.jpg" target="_blank">Madden 10 graphics</a>. Larry Fitzgerald and Troy Polamalu images were scattered over the video boards, fence mesh and stage graphics.  We were the first company to cover the back of the <a href="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2528/3819605098_215bde5bde.jpg" target="_blank">video board</a> with a mesh banner by removing the support poles from the back of the unit one by one while rolling the giant banner along until it was secured by edging the piece with 2&#8243; velcro.</p>

<p>With all events come last minute additions. The crew back at <a href="http://www.bluemedia.com" target="_blank">bluemedia</a> in tempe were ready and awaiting those last minute phone calls from RJ needing prints to be overnighted that same day. As always, the entire staff did a wonderful job by pulling together and ensuring each piece was 100% correct and arrived on time. The 2 days leading up to the event entailed those last minute FedEx boxes showing up at the hotel in Malibu for RJ and Tug to install.</p>

<p>The day of the event finally came and we were receiving constant <a href="http://twitter.com/bluemedia/favorites" target="_blank">twitter messages</a> along with <a href="http://twitpic.com/photos/bluemedia" target="_blank">cellphone photos</a> of all the banners we produced. Everything looked amazing and the client couldn&#8217;t have been happier. With everything up in place the guys were able to kick back and enjoy the festivities. A slew of stars, athletes and musicians were attending the event and the guys were able to get some great photos. Barry Sanders, Brooke Burke, Kevin Dillon, Joe Montana, Deon Sanders, Jerry Rice, and Nick Lachey were just to name a few of the stars and athletes in attendance.</p>
