bluemedia Celebrates with a Silver Addy

Last Saturday March 1st the American Advertising Federation held it’s 23rd Annual Phoenix ADDY Awards in Scottsdale. The ADDYs are the advertising industry’s largest competition, recognizing and rewarding creative excellence. Bluemedia took home a Silver Addy for the Art One / Tempe Market Place Window and Floor Graphics. Tempe Marketplace a Vestar development was a huge projected managed by sales rep Andy Salcido, Brandy Hopkins and Tug Orr. Design Director Will Mejia used the Art One Space to be a little more creative with our traditional window graphics application and extended the paint onto the floor using our super durable and adhesive floor graphics.

Blind Society (the consumer marketing agency spawned from the creative minds at bluemedia and former Santy creative director Jim Clark) collected a total of 7 addys. 4 of the addys received were for the Phoenix Coyotes campaign including the “Hockey Face” mirror cling (below) that won a Silver Addy in the Non-Traditional Advertising category. The clings were digitally printed, hand cut, and installed by bluemedia.

Cramer-Krasselt was the big winner at the awards show this year taking home a total of 40 Addys including Best of Show and Art Director of the year award. C-K recieved a Silver Addy for the Toyota Wall Mural inside US Airways Center (below). The mural was a challenging project for Cramer-Krasselt who hired bluemedia to execute the concept. Chris Keal, bluemedia’s Brand Director /Photoshop Master, meticulously illustrated and composited the mural. Keal and our bluemedia president Jared Smith paid special attention to the alignment of the floor tiles and cracks making sure they fell into perfect position. The mural can be see at any Phoenix Suns home game or any event at the US Airways Center, just look for the Toyota Club.

Once again the Addys awards were a success for bluemedia, Blind Society and many of our agency clients.

Here a quick wrap up from the Business Journal about this years competition.
