bluemedia, the national leader of signage and décor for some of the biggest events in the world, today announced its acquisition of experiential media company, Digital Media Etc., an out-of-home, non-traditional media company specializing in experiential and live events.
The acquisition adds leading edge technology to bluemedia’s already impressive consumer experience capabilities, including 3D projections, dome media, and location-based interactive installations to create engaging, shareable experiences for top national brands.
“Adding projection mapping and live event activations to our capabilities is a perfect fit,” said bluemedia President, Darren Wilson. “It’s another way to help our clients connect to their guests, and up the ‘wow factor’ of any event.”
According to the annual EventTrack study, created by The Event Marketing Institute and experiential marketing agency Mosaic, 98% of consumers capture content at live events, with 83% of them sharing that content up to 15 times across their social networks. That’s why more than half the brands surveyed plan to invest additional funds in experiential content this year.
With more than 15 years’ experience in creating interactive experiences for audiences across the country, Digital Media Etc. comes to bluemedia with a veteran team of experts and a robust client roster, including Southwest Airlines, Lexus, Target, Lucasfilm, Toyota and more.
Paul Whitney, former CEO and founder of Digital Media Etc., now an Executive Producer at bluemedia, is a pioneer and leader within the Out-of-Home, non-traditional segment of Outdoor Advertising.
“We’re thrilled to be part of bluemedia,” said Whitney. “After successfully working together on several recent assignments, it became clear that combining our respective skill sets creates a very attractive and impactful experiential marketing solution for current and future clients.”
