bluemedia and the Super Bowl Host Committee unveiled a massive custom fabricated football in downtown Phoenix, it kicked off the run up to the Big Game and launched the official cornerstone of Super Bowl Central—an area which hosted concerts, the NFL Experience and other events during the week that lead up to the game.
The structure, which was located at the corner of Central Ave. and Washington St., is 20′ high, made from wood, foam, and steel, and weighs 7,000 lbs. Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, and Jay Parry, President of the Super Bowl Host Committee, were on-hand for the unveiling, and spoke to the eager crowd as the black fabric covering the custom fabricated football was slowly pulled back.
News cameras from all over the country rolled as the Mayor, excited fans, and leaders from the Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale and Tempe communities snapped selfies of themselves in front of the giant piece.
You and your team were awesome partners for the Championship Campus and CFP related events, and I wanted to thank you and let you know I really appreciated all you did.
