Experiential Media Lights The Night For Brand Jordan’s 30th Anniversary Event

To celebrate Brand Jordan’s 30th Anniversary, an immersive fan experience dubbed ‘The Pearl Pavilion’ was created inside the Hotel Pennsylvania, across the street from the 2015 All-Star Game at Madison Square Garden. Brand Jordan’s challenge to bluemedia acquisition, Digital Media Etc. was simple: use experiential media to draw as much attention to the Pavilion and hotel as possible.

Because city officials initially balked at early concepts, including 3D projections, more creative experiential methods became necessary. Ultimately, it was decided that a branded light show on — and from within — the Hotel Pennsylvania would work best for all parties involved.

First, ten custom-built, high definition LED video screens were installed into the mezzanine-level windows of the hotel. These screens were then were unified to create the dramatic effect of one larger-than-life Brand Jordan video display. Then, over 40 high-powered LED digital uplights were installed and synchronized with the video to change color and light intensity of the hotel’s façade. Working in concert, the two platforms lit up the night in an eye-catching, attention grabbing fashion, drawing a sizable crowd to front of the hotel, and putting a big smile on the client’s face.
