Kevin Hart’s success ranges from sold-out comedy tours, comedy shows, TV series and blockbuster movies like The Wedding Ringer, Ride Along and Get Hard. All of this led to the next step in his career: The What Now? Tour. The stand-up set needed a variety of tour graphics for dozens of stops across the U.S., along with international destinations across Europe, Australia and more.
One tour destination in particular – the Lincoln Financial Field in Hart’s hometown of Philadelphia – was filmed as part of the What Now? comedy movie released in 2016. To ensure that the venue impressed not only the 50,000 concert attendees but also future movie theater guests across the country, the Performance Environment Design Group (PEDG) reached out to bluemedia for top-notch tour graphics.
The bluemedia team installed full stadium graphics in bold blues and reds on the field wall, stage and entryways before the show. We also worked on multiple smaller project touches to ramp up the concert atmosphere: everything from pole banners to bike barricades to VIP-area pillows were branded with What Now? graphics. As sponsors of the event, the Miller Lite and Rally Health logos were also incorporated into some of the banner graphics.
“The whole event turned out great,” said bluemedia partner, PEDG. “Kevin loved the graphics package that was provided.”
Overall, it took five bluemedia team members – and many local installers – to get everything up for the sold-out show in Philly, and the film has gone on to gross more than $23 million since its release. Whether you’re looking at tour photos or Kevin on the silver screen, the consensus all around is that the bluemedia tour graphics were a hit!
I just wanted to thank you. I know this project was demanding, but everything turned out great and Kevin loved the graphics package that was provided.
