When Phoenix Children’s Hospital was named to U.S. News & World Report’s 2013-14 Best Children’s Hospitals rankings, the only Arizona hospital to make the highly coveted list, they wanted to do something big to get the word out, and big it was — bluemedia was contracted to produce and install 52′ by 54′ building wrap graphics, 100′ up in the air.
Designed by ANDERSON Advertising & PR, the building wrap looked exactly like U.S. News & World Report article, with a white background that was not only eye-catching, but pulled the artwork out from the brown brick behind it. bluemedia also obtained the necessary special permits to display the building wrap, as well as apply for a minor amendment with the city of Phoenix for their sign criteria, a process which took several weeks.
Because the textured wall vinyl needed to be heated to conform to the brick underneath, the installation took place mainly at night over the course of a week, where the heat could be controlled, with crews working well into the morning. High winds and monsoon storms threatened to derail the installation, but the bluemedia field team was able to complete the wrap on time.
In the end, Phoenix Children’s Hospital was extremely pleased with the building wrap, as well as the publicity and public response they received, and bluemedia was happy to bring the great news about the hospital to the kids that need it most.
Thank you for the great work on both buildings. You were a pleasure to work with and were exactly right on how to create the wrap. Glad I trusted you.
